Leadership Institute Webinar

The Canadian Women’s Foundation is hosting an orientation webinar on Monday, November 24th, 2014 at 12:00 pm EST, for anyone wishing to apply to their Leadership Institute.

The webinar will provide more detail about the Leadership Institute and the opportunity to ask questions. To participate in the webinar, interested candidates must register with the Canadian Women’s Foundation at edgrants at canadianwomen.org.

If you miss the webinar, you can review it online after November 25, 2014 at Coady Institute.

Social Enterprise 101: Offering Innovative Solutions to Community Issues

A social enterprise is a business that focuses on delivering social or charitable benefits, and any profits are reinvested to continue to support those goals. It can be an interesting model for a non-profit to use, one which comes with its own unique challenges and benefits. Participants in this workshop will come away with a deeper understanding of what a social enterprise is. They will also:

  • Learn when to use a social enterprise model
  • Understand the risks and challenges and how to best mitigate them
  • Gain tools to help assess if it would work for their non-profit
  • Find out about resources to support social enterprises

Registration deadline is November 12th @ 5pm

Cost:  $30 (HST included) per participant
