Fair Trade Challenge 2015

Manitoba Council for International Cooperation/Fair Trade Manitoba’s next Fair Trade Challenge is scheduled to take place beginning Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2015 and going for 30 days. Last year, two of the big events were a Carrot Mob at Jonnie’s Sticky Buns on Portage Avenue and a Fair Trade Wined-Up at the Grant Park Mall Liquor Mart Learning Space. With Brandon having now become a Fair Trade Town and Winnipeg’s campaign having been launched, even more is going to be happening!

The Fair Trade Challenge is a simple, but effective challenge, where participants make a point to purchase and use fair trade coffee, tea, and chocolate for 30 days. Prizes, contests, a chance to try something new OR to be supported in something you believe strongly in…..not to mention, you are encouraged to eat ethical chocolate for an entire month! The Challenge has had nearly 10 000 registrants over the years, with consistent interest from both fair trade enthusiasts and newbies.
