Program Coordinator - Local Immigration Partnership Winnipeg (LIPW)

Two year full time contract starting May 1, 2014

The LIPW Program Coordinator will be primarily responsible for setting up, managing and facilitating the establishment of the LIP Winnipeg. Duties will vary as the Coordinator provides advice, builds relations, initiates activities, monitors results and generally assures the achievements of the LIPW. S/he will work directly with the Manitoba Immigrant and Refugee Settlement Sector Association (MIRSSA) and answer to the Executive Director of the Social Planning Council.

West Broadway Gardens Coordinator

Reports to: Executive Director
Term position: April 14, 2014 – October 3, 2014

This position supports four community garden sites, the youth garden, and one urban-agriculture site in West Broadway. The position’s goals are as follows:

  • Support and build capacity in the management of community gardens
  • Provide educational opportunities for residents
  • Uphold the goals of the West Broadway Greenspace Development Plan and Five-Year Community Plan
