Alternative Climate Action Plan Researcher – Road to Resilience

The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, Manitoba office (CCPA – MB) is anm independent, non-partisan research institute concerned with issues of social, economic and environmental justice.

Draw on existing research and engagement, this position will create a community-based climate action plan for Winnipeg and Manitoba to significantly reduce Green House Gas emissions and make Winnipeg and Manitoba more resilient.

Position Purpose and Summary: Guided by the vision, mission and values of the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba, Inc. and IRCOM House Inc., the Building and Grounds Maintenance Worker: maintains the buildings and grounds of IRCOM House Inc. in a clean, safe and attractive condition for all tenants, staff and program participants.

Co-operatives and The Social Economy

The objective of this conference is to bring together students, co-operators, social entrepreneurs, government and researchers to exchange knowledge on the co-operatives and the social economy in Canada.

Keynote speakers on Co-operatives and the Social Economy will engage in a discussion spuring debate on the role of business in our society. The co-operative business model will be debated as a component of the social economy.

Students from across Canada, Graduate and Undergraduate, will be encouraged to present at the conference. Submitted papers will be developed into proceedings from the conference.

Case studies on non-profit and for-profit co-operatives will be presented to student teams. Undergraduate and Graduate teams can register to compete in case presentations in-front of an audience and panel of judges with cash prizes for the top 3 teams in both Undergraduate and Graduate categories. 

Evaluation Coordinator

YAA is a network of 15 youth-serving agencies in Winnipeg which aims to strengthen and enhance the capacity of its member agencies. Our capacity-building efforts focus on three core areas including youth programs and engagement, member learning and development, and research and advocacy. As a collaborative network, YAA provides a unique opportunity to regularly engage with and learn from a wide variety of youth-serving organizations and community stakeholders.
