CCEDNet Responds to the City's Call to Action
November saw the release of the Call to Action, the first report from the City's SpeakUpWinnipeg consultation process that is shaping the new OurWinnipeg plan. CCEDNet has been actively involved in the SpeakUpWinnipeg process, as a host for the forum on CED, and as a contributor to three others on Poverty Reduction, Food Security, and Housing. To offer feedback on the Call to Action, CCEDNet met with the SpeakUpWinnipeg team to reinforce the priorities that were articulated by forum participants. These included, a CED Policy Framework and Lens for the City, a Human Resources Roundtable, opportunities for Ethical Purchasing, Poverty Reduction, Food Security and Affordable Housing.
