What will you learn?:
Understanding the specific roles of the board, management and staff. Based on the government report, "Improving Governance and Accountability in Canada's Voluntary Sector" and the Corporations Act the specific areas covered are:
- Mission, Values and Vision,
- Transparency and Communication, Structures,
- The Board's Understanding of its Role,
- Fiscal Responsibility,
- Overseeing of Human Resources,
- Assessment and Control Systems, and
- Planning for Succession and Diversity.
Certificates will be issued to individuals who complete all 4 workshops.
