Workshop Description:

Collaborative relationships (especially partnerships) are the highest form of human relationships. They require a certain kind of: attitude and orientation, shared values, skills (to establish and manage effectively), and processes for joint planning, resolving conflicts and negotiating. In this workshop participants will explore the nuances between different types of collaborative relationships, what they all share in common, when to establish them and when not to. As well, what they require both in terms of spirit, skills, and process.

Discover how the board creates its own "unique" effective and meaningful model of governance. Also included are legal liability, risk management, insurance issues and written guidelines for policies, procedures, by-laws, and constitutional change.

Dealing With Difficult Employees

As an employer, what can you do if your employees are:

  • Being uncooperative?
  • Gossiping?
  • Undermining fellow employees or their employer?
  • Lying, cheating or stealing?
  • Being lazy?
  • Being aggressive or combative?
  • Not being motivated or challenged?
  • Hesitant to take on new tasks or assignments?
  • Disrupting the workplace?
  • “Ticking off” your clients or membership?

This workshop will look at some of the more common (and often annoying) behaviors in the workplace, the reasons behind them and identify ways to reduce or eliminate the turmoil and drama!
