SEED Winnipeg and the Manitoba Cooperative Association are pleased to offer two days of advanced training for Co-op Developers


This Advanced Co-op Developer session is an opportunity for those who work in Co-op Development to increase their knowledge and skills in an intense and participatory learning environment with their peers.

The session will be facilitated by experienced Developers, Marty Frost and Melanie Conn of Devco


When: March 8 - 9, 2011

Where: SEED Winnipeg Inc. (80 Salter St.)


Topics include:

  • The Role of Parent Organizations Involved in Start-ups
  • Buy-outs
  • Multi-stakeholder Co-ops
  • Management and Member Engagement
  • Accessing Capital
  • Models for Assessing Co-op Impact
     

We encourage you to bring your experience, your questions and your passion for the co-op model!

SEED and MCA will be accepting applications until Friday, February 11th. By Tuesday, February 15th we will inform you if you have been accepted to participate in the workshop. All participants must currently be working in co-op development. Priority will be given to non-government participants.

Registration fees:

  • $100 for participants from cooperatives, non-profits, or independent consultants
  • $200 for all others

Once you have been accepted to participate in the workshop you will be sent an electronic invoice from SEED Winnipeg. Registration fees are due by March 1, 2011.
