The annual Summer Institute in Program Evaluation brings together an inter-sectoral group of community-based practitioners and university students to learn about evaluation for improved planning and delivery. The Institute combines lectures, case studies and group work to introduce the concepts of participatory evaluation focusing on the social, economic and environmental determinants of well-being.
Who Should Attend
- Project managers and coordinators responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of their programs, projects or organizations;
- Community leaders and workers with project responsibilities;
- Decision makers looking at new ways to make their programs more participatory and responsive to local needs;
- Undergraduate and graduate students seeking to improve their skills and knowledge in the area of community-based program evaluation;
- All those seeking to connect with students, practitioners and researchers involved in delivery and evaluation of a broad range of health and social services.

Cost: $600.00 (a limited number of subsidies may be available)
Case Studies: Community organizations are invited to submit a case study that will be used to develop evaluation plans. At the end of the Institute, case study organizations will have the opportunity to work with students and/or evaluators to refine and implement these plans.
