Social ventures are companies or organizations that seek to create measurable social and environmental impact through a business and revenue model. This combination creates long lasting social or environmental impact that is achieved in a financially sustainable way. Through the social venture model, the business sector plays an important role in creating social and environmental benefit for society.
Around the world social ventures are demonstrating the impact and social innovation that can be created through business models. But there is still a lot of untapped potential. We’ve seen what social ventures can achieve; now we want to see more social ventures creating impact.
