SHIFT: Our Sustainable Energy Future

You are here

Date:
30 October, 2013

One of the fundamental challenges of achieving sustainability in our lifetime is to address our reliance on conventional energy resources and technologies in all aspects of our everyday lives. To rise to this challenge, we need to understand the links between present and future energy systems.

SHIFT is a public forum to discuss how we might move from the current energy system to one that is clean, renewable and sustainable.

Join us for an evening of presentations and public dialogue on how to make the transition toward a sustainable energy future. The first hour presents different perspectives on sustainable energy. The second hour is reserved for a Q&A session with presenters as part of a broader discussion by all in attendance.

Presenters:

  • Mark Burch, Transition Winnipeg, Sustainable South Osborne
  • Jeffery Cottes, University of Winnipeg
  • Curt Hull, 50 by 30, Climate Change Connection
  • Shaun Loney, BUILD
