As part of the BCCA’s Momentum Centre: The resource hub for new, emerging and established co-ops, this FREE workshop will explore co-operative solutions to social and environmental issues.

For those interested in doing business with a social and environmental mission, this Momentum Centre workshop will introduce you to the innovations that are happening in the social economy and share how co-ops both locally and globally are meeting community needs. Case Studies such as the Vancouver Island Community Investment Co-operative, Sustainability Solutions Group and Common Thread Co-op will be discussed to demonstrate how co-operation is advancing fair and sustainable business practices.

To wrap up the session we will discuss marketing and networking resources that are available to increase the viability of your co-op or business. A member of Buy Social Canada will join us to share the work that has been done on their campaign to galvanize social procurement.
