A two-and-a-half-day co-operative business “bootcamp” for groups and individuals interested in starting a co-operative enterprise. This program is based on the Co-operatives Now Program presented by Vancity Credit Union in partnership with the BC Co-operative Association – and the ACCA are delighted to be able to bring the bootcamp over to Calgary this December.
The bootcamp features interactive sessions on the co-operative business structure, the development process, and more. Sessions will be presented by the Alberta Community and Co-operative Association and various experts from the sector. The bootcamp will advance projects to the next stage of development and connect participants with resources. Depending on their stage of development participants will come away with a business plan and/or a road-map for next steps. Check out the event agenda to learn more.

Over the two days, participants will also have ample networking opportunities and can meet with mentors from the co-operative and credit union sector. ACCA and project partners will also follow up with participants to get updates, gain insight, and if possible provide additional assistance. This first workshop could be used as a pilot to create a program that could be offered in other parts of the province.
