Project Background
The Calgary CED Network’s mission is to champion Community Economic Development in Calgary by facilitating connections, promoting best practices and innovation, and encouraging collaboration. CED is locally motivated action to create economic opportunities in the community on a sustainable and inclusive basis. The Calgary CED Network was created in 2006 and has a steering committee of 12 CED leaders. The Calgary CED Network is hosted by Momentum, a Community Economic Development organization in Calgary that partners with the under/unemployed to develop their productive futures.
Inspired by the CED for Toronto publication, (https://momentum.org/), this booklet will build awareness of and profile CED for individuals, organizations, funders and businesses in Calgary. A rough draft of the text of the booklet (1500 words) has been created, and the consultant will edit and provide extra copy as needed (this draft text is not available to bidders on this RFP, but will be forwarded to the successful consultant).
