Position: Provider Recruitment Coordinator (.5)
Location: SEED Winnipeg, 80 Salter Street
Reports to: CEDTAS Coordinator and Steering Committee
Salary: $18,000 to 24,000 / year half time
Deadline: June 5th at 12:00

General description
CEDTAS supports community organizations in their community economic development efforts by connecting them to volunteer professionals who meet their technical assistance and expertise needs.

This position will be supervised by the CEDTAS Coordinator with direction from the CEDTAS Steering Committee. The Provider Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for increasing the number of volunteer professionals willing to offer technical assistance services to community organizations and CED projects. They will also monitor client and professional working relationships, assist with evaluations of the needs in communities and recruit volunteer professionals to meet these needs.

Major Responsibilities

1. Outreach & Recruitment of Providers

1.1. Presentations to potential Technical Assistance providers
1.2. Recruit and complete contracts with TA providers
1.3. In conjunction with other CEDTAS staff, connect TA providers with eligible clients and their CED projects

2. Monitor & Evaluate
2.1. Meet with TA Providers on a regular basis
2.2. Monitor relationships between clients and providers while they are working together on a project
2.3. Ensure that final evaluations are completed by clients and TA Providers after each contract is complete
2.4. Evaluate services and make recommendations for revisions or changes to the steering committee

3. Administration
3.1. Provide administrative support to the CEDTAS coordinator
3.2. Manage all contracts with TA providers
3.3. Provide regular reports to the CEDTAS coordinator and steering committee.


4. Marketing
4.1. Complete an overall marketing and provider recruitment strategy
4.2. Continue to develop and redesign all necessary marketing and promotional materials
4.3. Implement the marketing strategy and evaluate its effectiveness on a regular basis


Skills and Qualifications
Experience working with a variety of different professionals, associations and organizations
Knowledge of and contacts with the business and professional community in Winnipeg
Experience with Community Economic Development principles and practice
Background, training or experience in: business, planning, community development, communications, sales, marketing and project management is also desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with MS office programs


This half time position is being hired in conjunction with the CEDTAS coordinators position. Candidates with both skill sets are welcome to apply for both positions to combine them into a single full time position.
