non-profit organization assisting individuals to achieve self-sufficiency
through meaningful employment. We currently have 4 openings:
1) Employment Consultant (FT) to provide coaching and support to job
seekers in our main office on Donald Street. Responsibilities include:
developing employment plans, assisting individuals in finding employment,
promoting OFE services to employers and providing effective follow-up
services. Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of job search
techniques, consulting experience, superior interpersonal skills, and be an
effective team member. Post-secondary education in a related field or the
equivalent in experience is required. Experience in an employment agency
would be an asset.
OFE will also be launching an innovative new employment program for Mature
Workers aged 50+ in September. We are currently recruiting for two
positions for this project:
2) Employment Consultant (FT) similar description and qualifications as
above, however this individual would be working specifically with the 50+
age group.
3) Employment Services Support (0.4 EFT) to provide administrative support
in the areas of recruitment, assessment, resume development, scheduling,
data entry, tracking project expenses and processing payables .
OFE has a very successful community development division called House of
Opportunities (HOO) on Ellice Avenue, which offers life skills, employment
development workshops and a job resource center. HOO currently has one
opening:
4) Employment Services Support (FT) to provide information and employment
services support to job seekers, coordinate the job resource center, assist
with resume development, data entry, filing and other administrative duties.
