he Urban Development Institute - Pacific Region, (UDI) is the leading organization representing the real estate development community in British Columbia (see www.udi.bc.ca). UDI and its member companies are committed to wise and efficient land use and consistently involved in addressing substantial development-related issues. As a partner in community building, UDI is also committed to working with governments in addressing land use and planning issues including hurdles to sustainability.

The Institute is seeking an individual to support its municipal affairs and research activities. Working closely with industry leaders who serve on municipal liaison committees, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of Institute briefs and position papers to municipal councils and senior officials, as well as the administration of liaison committees.

You should be an initiator, a forward-thinker and a strong, tactful communicator with demonstrable skills in policy analysis and research, a good understanding of the development industry and/or municipal governance. Your background could be in the development industry or in government, ideally with 5 years experience. You should possess a university degree in a related discipline, such as urban land economics.
