Learn more about career options in the co-operative and credit union sector through the Co-operative Career Internship Program.

What Does It Offer You?

• A challenging work placement of at least 12 weeks.
• A personal mentor in your host organization.
• Educational activities.
• Job search assistance in the Co-operative sector following your placement.
• Provides "real world" experience.
• New skills and knowledge.
• Two day training workshops on: Co-op business model, goal setting, time management, leadership, teamwork, etc.

Who Is Eligible?

• Youth between the ages of 15 and 30 years of age.
• A Canadian Citizen, or a permanent residence or protected person within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Youth who have been out of a post-secondary education system for 3 months.
• Youth whose circumstance may challenge them in making a successful transition to the workplace.

Applicants will be reviewed on a project by project basis. To be considered, please send your resume, transcripts and a covering letter outlining your educational background and career goals, also explaining how you see the program helping you to achieve these goal to Alberta Community and Co-operative Association. Deadline for applications is December 12, 2008 so please do not delay.
