Opportunities For Employment Inc is a faith-based, non-profit organization assisting individuals to achieve self-sufficiency through meaningful employment. OFE has a very successful community development division called House of Opportunities (HOO) on Ellice Avenue, which offers life skills, employment development workshops and a job resource center.
We are currently looking for a full-time (term) Employment Services Support person to provide appropriate information and employment support to job seekers as they enter the office. The position is responsible for assisting in the job resource center and providing support to Employment Consultants. This position is also responsible for assisting with the breakfast program and emergency food bank. The incumbent is required to maintain the job/message boards, ensuring that information is relevant and well organized.
The successful applicant will have:
- Employment Services experience
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications
- Good general organizational skills
- Efficient office work habits
- Good writing/oral communication skills
- Possesses above average interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills, in person and over the phone.
Experience in an employment agency, knowledge of CED principles and familiarity with the Spence Neighborhood would be definite assets.
