The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in helping ensure effective records management and program accountability, while assisting in the education and capacity building components of the program. This is a term position based in Ottawa.

Term: This is a full-time, term position to March 31, 2013.

Responsibilities:

The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in helping ensure effective records management and program accountability, while assisting in the education and capacity building components of the program.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain program files and document management systems
  • Process payment requests and assist in financial records management
  • Manage an in-kind contribution tracking system
  • Help maintain program website (open-source, user-friendly)
  • Assist in co-ordination of meetings and events, including a program conference
  • Assist the Program Manager and Program Officers as required to ensure effective program delivery and documentation.

Qualifications include:

  • University degree preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in administration and program support positions, with significant skill in financial administration
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, plus web-based research skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Compensation: 
$40 000 to $45 000 per annum, with full benefits package.
