Asset Building Programs Coordinator
12 month term with potential for extension dependent on funding
Full Time (40 hours/week)
Start date: August 10th, 2009
The Asset Building Programs Coordinator will be responsible for developing and delivering Money Management Training programming including a Train the Trainer component. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing training and individualized support to program participants in SEED's Asset Building Programs. We are looking for someone who is a quick learner, highly motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable team player. This position will require someone with the flexibility to work evenings and on weekends when needed.
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent facilitation and curriculum development skills
- Extensive program development, co-ordination and administration experience
- Knowledge of personal budgeting and money management
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally (oral and written)
- Strong computer skills - solid knowledge and working experience with Windows XP and Office 2003/2007, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of inner city issues
- Good working relationships with community organizations serving low-income community residents
- Personal knowledge of, or experience working with, others living on a low income
- Familiarity or direct experience with Asset Building Programs preferred
- Ability to work with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a non-profit participatory management environment
