Food Matters Manitoba and the conference planning committee are seeking a contract conference coordinator to work with a planning team and staff to coordinate the February 2011 Growing Local Conference, a large conference with up to 500 attendees.

Growing Local Conference Coordinator Description
Reporting to the Executive Director and the conference planning committee, the successful applicant will work with the planning committee, additional project staff, volunteers, and general public. The successful applicant will assist the planning team in the coordination of a two day food security networking and education forum to be held February 25th-26th 2011 at the University of Winnipeg.

Interviews will take place in September with an incremental work load to March 2011. The position will be a contract of $20/hr up to 300 hours.
