Community Futures has been selected by the Canadian CED Network to host a CED Intern for a six month term through the CreateAction Work Experience Program, funded by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada.
The CED Intern must meet the following criteria:
- Canadian citizen or legal residence status 30 years or under
- University or College graduate with a degree or diploma and out of school
- Demonstrated interest and career aspirations in the Community Economic Development field
- Not receiving employment insurance benefits
- Not working in a field related to your post secondary studies
Working with the Community Futures general manager the CED Intern’s primary focus will be to assist in a resilient Islands participatory action research project.
Qualifications:
• Excellent interpersonal, research, writing, communication, and computer skills.
• Background of community volunteering
