The Gung Ho Employment Co-operative is seeking a dynamic entrepreneurial person who is interested in a six month community development project. This position is provided through the Canadian CED Network's CreateAction program, funded by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada.
The person must meet the following criteria.
- Be under 30 years of age.
- Be a Canadian citizen
- Be a graduate of a post secondary institution AND be out of school
- Be unemployed or underemployed AND not be receiving EI benefits.
- Have not previously participated in a Career Focus (Government of Canada - Youth Employment Strategy).
This project will focus on developing a food packaging and delivery cooperative within a building in a marginalized area of Halifax.
