Summary:

The Community-University Institute for Social Research (CUISR) is a University of Saskatchewan research institute established in 2000 to “facilitate partnerships between the university and larger community in order to engage in relevant social research that supports a deeper understanding of our communities and that reveals opportunities for improving our quality of life.”

CUISR has a long-standing presence within the community of Saskatoon and at the University of Saskatchewan. We engage faculty, students, and community members in partnerships that result in relevant and responsive research to achieve social change. We work with not-for-profit agencies, co-operatives, government departments, and other community-based groups across the province, often providing assistance in their research projects and helping them build capacity within their own organizations and communities.
