CEDEC is hiring a Coordinator to work in its Greater Montreal Area office.
Responsibilities:

Planning, developing and administering the CEDEC Action Plan (Appendix A) in light of the CEDEC objectives and the CEDEC Strategic Plan (Appendix B)

Engaging, inspiring and collaborating with volunteers and stakeholders
-
Ensuring the realization of the anticipated results defined in the action plans for geographic community(ies) and/or community(ies) of interest

Mobilizing and engaging stakeholders in support of achieving the anticipated results in the action plans
-
Assembling, advising and supporting local action groups with goals and objectives that support and are complementary to the goals and objectives outlined in the CEDEC Strategic Plan

Organizing, facilitating and supporting the implementation of community planning processes
-
Conducting research and sharing findings with CEDEC members and other stakeholders
-
Generating and coordinating community economic development initiatives and community capacity building processes
-
Creating and maintaining strategic partnerships in communities that support the objectives of CEDEC
-
Participating in policy development related to the goals and objectives of CEDEC
-
Dynamically representing CEDEC for the purpose of government liaison and community relations
-
Assuming any other related duties compatible with experience and qualifications as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or Executive Director
Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary Scale: $44,500 – $51,514 (according to experience)
Qualifications:
The requirements for this position are as follows:

A University Degree or post-secondary qualification/certification and/or relevant work experience which would include community economic development knowledge and interests

Bilingual: English and French (spoken and written)

Strong computer literacy with experience using
OfficeMicrosoft -
Ability to work in a flexible structure

Willingness to work overtime with short notice

Ability to travel as required
