About the Position:
The West Central Women’s Resource Centre (WCWRC) provides services and programming to women and families in the West Central neighbourhood of Winnipeg. WCWRC is seeking a highly organized and experienced Office and Administrative Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of the Centre. Working with the Executive Director the Office and Administrative Coordinator will support day-to-day operations, communications, the staff and Board and fundraising initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support to the Executive Director
- Public relations coordination including website maintenance
- Operations Support including procurement of supplies, technical support and space usage
- Building maintenance coordination
- Human Resource and Board support Contribute to general fundraising, primarily through data collection, event organization and proposal and report writing
- Plan and Coordinate General Events
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in office/non-profit environment
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to take initiative
- Proven ability in taking initiative
- Strong Computer skills and the ability to provide technical support to other staff Strong writing skills with the ability to prepare reports, letters, forms
- Basic record keeping and budgeting skills Awareness and sensitivity to issues of marginalization (sexism, racism, classism) and cultural diversity
- A strong understanding of the West Central community Accessible to and supportive of community women
