Revitalize Portage! Green Team Clean Up Crew

The Portage la Prairie Community Revitalization Corporation (PCRC) is currently seeking applications to fill two positions on the Revitalize Portage! Green Team Clean Up Crew.

About the Position:

• Hours of work will be 30 hours per week, wage is $9.50/hour. Some evening and weekend work is required.
• This term position for 8 weeks, beginning July 4 to August 26.
• This position is funded through the Manitoba Green Team youth employment program. All applicants must be between aged 16 to 24.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning up litter and removing graffiti in Portage la Prairie neighbourhoods
• With a team, conducting neighbourhood safety audits to identify safety issues
• Coordinating BBQs and activities to encourage neighbourhood participation community clean-ups

Qualifications:

• Dependability and ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work with a team of staff and volunteers
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office software programs
• Preference given to residents of Portage la Prairie
