Wrench is seeking a part-time Assistant Bike Mechanic for our Winnipeg Repair and Education and Cycling Hub
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-time
SALARY: $9.88/hour
START DATE: June 20/11
Job Description
- Assist with stripping, building, maintaining and repairing bikes
- Help run open shop hours and assist people with bike mechanics
- Work with WRENCH Directors and Community Bike Shop volunteers at various shops and community centres offering bike repair instruction and bike building help
- Hands-on instruction with workshop participants (youth and adults)
- Assistance with summer programs run off-site with partner organizations
- Recycle and sort parts and tools
- Flexible hours (some weekdays and evenings, weekends)
- We will cover the cost of a Criminal Record check and a Child Abuse Registry check
Education/Experience

- Ride a reliable bicycle for transportation?
- Have and interest or experience working on bikes?
- Have experience working with youth and the public?
- Work well on your own
- Have a flexible schedule?
This is a Green Team funded position so applicants must be between the ages of 16-25.
