Terms of Employment: Temporary up to 1 year (37.5 hours per week)
Salary Scale: $48,978-$57,622 (according to experience)
CEDEC is hiring an Interim Director to work in its Eastern Townships office.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and administer, with CEDEC volunteers and colleagues, the development of the CEDEC action plan
- Supervise an Administrative Assistant and other staff/contractors
- Establish and administer appropriate office and personnel work plans
- Manage the operations activities of the CEDEC office and work in cooperation with CEDEC volunteers
- Plan, organize, direct and support the establishment of community planning processes
- Establish, manage and maintain strategic partnerships in communities
- Establish and maintain the CEDEC knowledge base
Characteristics of an ideal candidate:
- Possess a University Degree or a post-secondary certification/qualification and relevant work experience
- A dynamic leader
- Strong English-language skills
- Knowledge of the English-speaking community
- Strong French-language skills
- Networking and partnership building capabilities
- Self-reliant with the ability to work in a flexible structure
- Strong computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office
- Able and willing to travel
