Provincial Project Coordinator

Terms of employment: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) contract for 15 months
Salary: $50,500-$67,000 annual (according to experience)
Description
Ensure the realization of CEDEC Small Business Support Network (SBSN) objectives by
assisting in the coordination of a Provincial Advisory Committee, and engaging, inspiring and
collaborating with volunteers and stakeholders. Mobilize stakeholders in support of achieving
anticipated results while identifying potential sponsors for events or the network itself.
Expectations and Responsibilities
• Plan, develop, administer, and execute a fifteen month work plan to facilitate the achievement
of the anticipated results
• Develop and manage project budget
• Prepare a monthly and quarterly progress report (including activity reporting and financial
reporting)
• Supervise a team of seven including five Promotion and Awareness Agents, a Marketing and
Communications Specialist, and a Project Agent: Finance and Communications
• Provide advice and recommendations related to the achievement of anticipated results
• Establish community partnerships that will facilitate the delivery of enterprise development
support and services to CEDEC SBSN members
• Establish Policies and Procedures based on best practices
• Support groups in promotion and coordination of events (in particular large-scale events)
• Dynamically representing CEDEC for the purpose of government liaison and community
relations
• Assume any other related duties compatible with experience and qualifications as assigned
by the Executive Director and/or Operations Manager
Reporting and Accountability
• The Provincial Project Coordinator will report to the Executive Director.
• The immediate supervisor for the Provincial Project Coordinator will be the Operations
Manager
• The Provincial Coordinator will prepare a work plan respecting CEDEC protocol
Employment OpportunityQualifications
• A University Degree or post-secondary qualification/certification and/or relevant work
experience which would include community economic development knowledge and interests
• Five to ten years of experience related to project management, entrepreneurship or business
development.
• Bilingual: English and French (spoken and written)
• Strong computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a flexible structure
• Willingness to work overtime with short notice
• Ability to travel as required
