Ka Ni Kanichihk has employment opportunities in the Information and Office Administrative Assistant Program, accredited by Red River College.

Successful candidate(s) possess a university degree or post secondary education and three years experience working with adult learners or a combination of education and experience.

The candidate(s) will have experience in teaching at a post secondary level, evaluation of student performance, revision of curriculum, able to adapt material for the learning needs of the student. The candidate(s) will possess skills in conflict management, demonstrate anti-oppressive practices in the classroom, have excellent communication skills both written and oral, possess strong organizational skills and demonstrate professional work behaviours. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office 2007.

Business Communications/Office Procedures Instructor

The candidate must have experience in teaching business fundamentals skills through writing letters, memos, emails, and oral presentations/projects. The instructor will guide students in acquiring the knowledge, understanding and skills to effectively work in an office environment through a focus on employability skills and professionalism, current office procedures, human relations, time management,

Computer/Math Instructor

The candidate must have experience in teaching business math/accounting including concepts of ratios and proportions, banking, trade and discounts, mark-up and markdowns relating to costs, percentages and work with gross pay, federal and provincial taxes, along with CPP and EI, and fundamentals of accounting. The instructor will teach Windows Vista, Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel.

Successful candidates must provide a Criminal Record Check, a Child Abuse Registry Check. Preference will be given to qualified Aboriginal applicants.
