About the Position:
As a Community Involvement Manager, you will work with the Community Investment team to strengthen relationships within the community by coordinating current activities and developing new ones by:
- Coordinating various aspects of the work such as presentations and volunteer involvement
- Assisting with internal and external marketing and promotion
- Supporting ongoing program planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Conducting secondary research on various issues relevant to United Way’s work
- Preparing research documentation on specific areas of interest as identified by our partners
- Assisting the Community Investment team with other duties
Qualifications:
You possess energy and enthusiasm, an ability to think broadly and address details, strong communication and writing skills, and a commitment to strengthening our city. You also have:
- A post-secondary degree in social sciences or a related field, with an understanding of the nonprofit sector
- At least two years of related experience
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Proven research and report writing ability
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Public speaking experience an asset
- Experience with program evaluation, volunteer coordination, and/or online communication tools an asset
