About the Position
Mediation Services is a community based organization offering conflict resolution services to Manitobans since 1979. These services include victim/offender mediation/conferencing, mediation for family/neighbourhood disputes, workplace intervention, volunteer opportunities and comprehensive training in conflict resolution skills.
Applications are currently being accepted for one caseworker/mediator to work in the
Restorative Action Centre (court program) and the Community Resolution Centre
(community program).
Qualifications:
- Relevant post‐secondary education.
- Experience and knowledge in case management.
- Experience working with mediation/conferencing models within a restorative justice framework.
- Comprehensive understanding of and sensitivity to victim and offender issues
- Excellent assessment skills.
- Ability to work in diverse settings.
- Willingness to work as a team member within collaborative decision‐making processes.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of and experience relating to the justice system.
- Knowledge of and experience working with community resources.
- Positive attitude, self‐motivated.
