Eviction Prevention Program (EPP) Coordinator – half-time position 

Quint Development Corporation is a not-for-profit organization which exists to strengthen the social and economic well-being of Saskatoon’s five core neighbourhoods through a community economic development approach.  Quint Development Corporation is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to fill the following position.
 
Quint’s Affordable Housing Program manages & operates housing opportunities for low-income families to rent quality, affordable apartment suites, condominiums and houses. The EPP coordinator will provide support to tenants to foster community building and liaison between tenants, Quint and organizations that can offer assistance to tenants.

Duties:

Community Development related duties:
Maintain and improve tenant relations;
Assist in the planning of and attending regular tenant association meetings and special gatherings;
Maintain the Paul Wilkinson Place family room area;
Liaison between Affordable Housing Coordinators and the tenants in the building;
Provide an on-site programming element to foster in-building community;
Create partnerships with other community organizations that could aid tenants; 
Maintain records and provide written reports as required.

Qualifications:

Knowledge: 
Understanding of co-operative and/or community economic development;
Understanding of the issues faced by lower-income families, individuals and neighbourhoods;
Understanding of issues and impacts related to affordable housing;
Demonstrated experience working at the community level;
Social Work or Social Science background would be an asset but not necessary.

Skills:

Strong written and oral communication skills;
Excellent organizational skills;
Excellent facilitation skills;
Experience working with budgets & spreadsheets;
Ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective recommendations;
Excellent ability to adapt to changing priorities & in adjusting work plans accordingly;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Ability to develop and work effectively in partnerships with business and the community; 
Ability to work flexible hours (may include occasional evenings);
Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle.
