Facility Manager

We are currently seeking a Facility Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the safety, maintenance, and security of United Way’s three floor, 22,000 square foot building at 580 Main Street.

You will plan, organize, direct, and control the daily operations of the building, perform or oversee building, grounds and parking lot maintenance and conduct or oversee repair of machinery, equipment, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and other systems.

Qualifications:

You’re a hands-on, high-energy person who takes initiative and demonstrates imagination and resourcefulness. You’re a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You also have:
  • Hands on experience with building systems
  • Experience with preventative maintenance
  • Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, Fire and Building Codes
  • Basic computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Outlook and BlackBerry
  • Demonstrated proficiency using a variety of hand and power tools
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Ability to be bondable (you may be asked to provide permission for a background check)
  • Relevant post- secondary education with a minimum of 2 years related experience in facility management, building maintenance and administration (or an equivalent combination)
