We are seeking a dynamic and innovative person who has the ability to advocate for youth.  RaY is a fast paced work environment which depends on a reliable, open-minded, flexible, and team oriented approach to provide youth with what they need, on their terms, to better their lives.
RaY is a non-profit street-level agency working with street-entrenched and homeless youth up to the age of 29. RaY is non-judgmental and non-partisan, employing a harm reduction approach to all interactions with youth in need. 

The ideal candidate for the position:

  • Will have 3 or more years experience working in youth care and/or working with marginalized populations. 
  • Understand of the needs of marginalized youth and homelessness issues (including gang activity, drug use and sexual exploitation).  
  • Have significant knowledge regarding substance use, harm reduction and recovery process; and a strong understanding of the social determinants of health.  
  • Have an undergraduate degree in social work or liberal arts, or diploma in child and youth care.  
  • Training in any of the following would be considered an asset: Applied Suicide Intervention Training, Mental Health First Aid, Hearing Voices, Brief Intervention, Motivational Interviewing and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
