Job Summary:
The Administrative and Events Coordinator ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of Saskatchewan Cooperative Association (SCA), provides administrative and event coordination, and supports the work of management and other staff in the promotion of co-operative development, youth engagement, and member involvement programs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to management and other staff of SCA.
- Provide reception desk coverage, including greeting clients/suppliers/visitors to the organization in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer general phone inquiries using a professional and courteous manner, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
- Reply to general information requests with accurate information.
- Process incoming/outgoing mail, couriers, and email for SCA team.
- Coordinate and assist in the execution of special events.
- Source facilities, transportation, supplies etc. as required for SCA events
- Enter sponsor, staff, and participant information for all events into database (e.g. Co-op Camp, Co-op Classic)
- Assist Co-op Camp participants in finding sponsorship and track sponsorship availability
- Compile final statistics for all events
- Update and ensure the accuracy of the organization's databases
- Complete revisions to curriculum, manuals, and other material as directed by the Program Officer and/or Executive Director
- Support the SCA team in the compilation of reports and correspondence
- Code and file material according to established procedures
- Monitor and maintain the function of all office equipment
- Order and maintain adequate quantities of office supplies
- Coordinate information technology requirements and perform regular system backup
- Ensure SCA security by controlling distribution of computer access codes, keys and security codes
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Minimum high school graduate
- Administrative certificate, event planning certificate, or equivalent experience
- Experience in assisting with event coordination and providing administrative support would be beneficial

Technical Competencies:
- Familiarity with co-operative sector, its principles, values and applications
- Data entry and database management
- Writing and proof reading
- Ability to maintain office equipment
- Computer literate, and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and databases
Working Conditions:
- Work is conducted in an office environment
