Community Futures Winnipeg River is a non-profit regional economic development organization that provides business development and community development services to the North Eastman region.  The Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic, highly-motivated, and organized individual for the position of Executive Director.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to a volunteer Board of Directors, the Executive Director is the operational leader responsible for human resource, financial, and operational management to ensure that the Corporation’s financial and strategic objectives and standards are met; program development and management; and promotion of our commercial lending, business counselling, and community economic development services. 

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a seasoned leader with a proven track record developing and managing programs that help grow businesses and communities.  He or she must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, the ability to adapt and create new programs that meet the needs of our clients and communities, and possess sound decision-making skills.  Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, facilitation skills, strong leadership and people management skills, sound analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong business acumen are essential.
 
The ideal candidate will have a degree in business, rural development or a related field, and a minimum of five years management experience.  They will also possess a good understanding of entrepreneurial development, commercial lending, and community economic development with solid experience in one of these fields.   
 
This exciting position is located in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba and will require some local travel.  A valid driver’s license is required.  Candidates should expect to work some evenings.  Salary starts at $64,000+ per annum commensurate with qualifications and experience.
