The Manitoba Eco-Network is an umbrella group for environmental non-profits in Manitoba. We promote positive environmental action by connecting people and groups in our communities. We educate, we facilitate, we celebrate!

Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:
The intern will promote the Eco-Network, our projects, and our Member Groups through the use of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, our website, and other means, by doing the following:
- Connect Manitobans with eco news, issues, action opportunities, jobs and volunteer opportunities, and other resources from our 73 member organizations (50%)
- Help develop our website & social media strategy as it relates to our core goals (10%)
- Organize and improve our website (10%)
- Assist with preparation for major events, including the Reel Green Film Festival, especially by promotion through social media (30%)
Applicants must be:
- Comfortable with most aspects of using a computer
- Familiar with YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter
- Organized and attentive to small details
- Able to work and problem-solve independently
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web languages is an asset (but not required)
- University Degree/College Diploma
Benefits:
The intern will be exposed to the environmental non-profit community thoroughly, gaining contacts and insights into how to work with different communities and how to engage the public in environmental stewardship. The intern will gain experience with Joomla website content management and advanced social media strategies. The intern will gain experience setting priorities and managing time effectively. The intern will come away with a foundation of information on environmental issues through research and hands-on activities.
