Part Time 22.5 hours per week for 15-month term to March 31, 2014.
Salary: To be Negotiated.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Art Degree in the Social Sciences and/or extensive experience in counseling and community support services.
Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) and have a good understanding of Canadian and other culture(s) as required. Other language(s) are an asset. Must have excellent interpersonal skills with individual as well as group settings.
Description: This position is to provide supportive assistance to the Welcoming Communities Program Coordinator in program activities and events organization, planning and facilitation for various groups in the community working in partnership. Assist in the process of organizing and developing the program Action Plan in order to define the course and measurable objectives intended to foster a welcoming aproach towards new immigrants to the community.
