Program Manager - Co-operative Services

The Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada is seeking to fill the full-time position of Program Manager, Co-operative Services (National) on a two-year contract basis.   

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Sector Development, the Program Manager will be responsible for: advancing CHF Canada’s scale of the sector agenda with housing co-operatives.  With sector partners, s/he will support regional discussions about sector consolidation and discussions with housing co-ops about co-op mergers and expansions.  The Program Manager will also deliver a program of support to member housing co-operatives designed to enhance their governance and management.  

The successful candidate will have: 

  • an academic qualification or equivalent experience, with specialized skills in one of more of organizational development, financial management, asset management or adult education; 

  • thorough working knowledge of government housing programs and of the governance, operation and management of housing co-operatives; 

  • strong working knowledge of program workout tools; excellent financial analysis skills; 

  • excellent written and oral communication skills (including plain-language writing)   

  • ability to work independently and as part of a team.
