Job Description

The Conception Bay South Parks Commission is seeking a dedicated, enterprising, dynamic and results-oriented person who is committed to professionalism, teamwork and customer service.

The Community Development Officer will perform a variety of community development and tourism functions and is responsible for the development and engagement of partners within the Town of Conception Bay South. Through a collaborative team effort will work closely with volunteer and community groups operating in the Town.

The successful applicant will have strong research, report writing, proposal writing and oral presentation skills as well as excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.  Project management and supervisory experience are considered an asset. Experience is also required in facilitation, promotion and working with a Board of Directors.
Post-Secondary Education in Community Development, Recreation or a related discipline, and two years of experience in the field of community development is required.  Any combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
