JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Fresh Outlook Foundation (FOF) has received funding through the federal CreateAction program to hire a full-time event coordinator for six months, starting immediately. The successful applicant must be under 30, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and a graduate of a post-secondary institute, college, or university. The applicant must not be receiving Employment Insurance (EI) benefits. The contract is for 35 hours a week at $15/hr.

Founded in 2007, FOF is a registered charity located in Lake Country whose passion is “building sustainABLE communities through conversations that inspire positive change.” To that end, FOF hosts highly acclaimed and hugely popular events such as the Building SustainABLE Communities conference, REEL CHANGE SustainAbility Film Fest, ECO-BLAST Kids’ Camp & Concert, Breakfast of Champions, and Women 4 SustainAbility.
EMPLOYEE PROFILE
The successful applicant will work closely with and report to the FOF CEO. You are outgoing, professional, organized, conscientious, and creative. You are a team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills who is comfortable with sponsorship sales. You have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs and social media. You have a current driver’s licence and can travel to the FOF office in Lake Country. And you can demonstrate an interest in community service work and/or community sustainability.
EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES
As event coordinator, you will be responsible for
- Venue research/coordination
- Sponsorship sales/management
- Event promotion to FOF networks and through conventional/social media
- Speaker/panelist coordination
- Onsite event management
- Evaluation design and delivery
- Follow-up and reporting out to attendees/sponsors
