Position Scope:

The job coach will work with the Director of Operations, Director of Planning and Development and colleagues to successfully increase community awareness of Common Values Emporium while providing on the job training to the employees in training.

Shift Supervisor Performance Criteria:

• Oversee the business standards and ensure activities are carried out on a daily basis
• Identify and develop opportunities to grow business revenue
• Ensure business policy and operating procedures are maintained
• Responsible for ordering supplies and products
• Maintain interesting and profitable product lines when ordering new merchandise

Job Coach Performance Criteria:

• To participate in job coach training, “train the trainer” model
• Provide on the job training and support
• Complete daily documentation including job journals
• Develop and implement individual training plans
• Assist employees in training to establish job objectives and demonstrate how they will be achieved
• Provide 20 day employment updates to employees in training

Social Enterprise Development:

• Develop social media strategies
• Attend monthly networking meetings
• To attend a social enterprise conference
• Develop and maintain consistent employment marketing tools
• Responsible for the development of a participant data base

Required Skills:

• Post secondary  university, college, institute graduate
• Proven organizational skills
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• A team player with great interpersonal skills
• Present self in a professional manner
• “Can Do Attitude”- active interest and desire to participate in the growth of a social enterprise
• Good sense of humour

Hours of work:

• Able to work a flexible work week
• Weekend work required

Start Date:  April 17/13        End Date:  September 30/13

Pay Rate:  $15.00/hour
