CDEM is looking for a dynamic, independent and creative person to fill the Training Coordinator position of Premier Choix. The ideal person will be bilingual, with both oral and written skills, and have the following main duties:

 

  • Moderate training sessions, workshops and learning modules;
  • Create and update the Destination Emploi training program;
  • Assess participants to identify employability roadblocks;
  • Create an individualized employment or orientation plan for every client;
  • Draft a budget, adhere to it and compile budget information;
  • Act as Premier Choix media spokesperson and representative, as well as for different presentations;
  • Prepare and carry out a periodic communication plan for Premier Choix;
  • Develop and maintain employer, community partner and prospective client networks;
  • Prepare and review different detailed reports related to Premier Choix activities;
  • Support the Employment Specialist and Coordinator of Adapted Services on an ongoing basis;
  • Carry out all other duties as reasonably assigned by the Coordinator of CDEM Jeunesse.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Completed postsecondary studies or a combination of experience and studies in employment counselling, career development, social services, human resources development or in a related area;
  • Proficient in oral and written skills in English and French;
  • Demonstrated ability in individual and team work;
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, independent worker and a good eye for detail;
  • Thorough, attentive to quality and creative detail;
  • Ability to work in a computerized environment;
  • Public speaking ability and a dynamic presence;
  • Knowledge of the francophone school system in the province of Manitoba;
  • Must be able to travel to rural areas in Manitoba independently.

 

Contract details: $18.20/hour for 40 hours/week, beginning June 17, 2013.
