JOB SUMMARY

The General Manager is responsible for the day to day activities of ICR and in that role - plans, directs and coordinates all functions of the company including human resource needs, financial controls, organizational support, construction operations and marketing.  

The General Manager provides leadership and is responsible for ensuring that ICR effectively implements an annual business plan.

COMPANY PROFILE

ICR is a general contractor and construction company that offer a complete range of renovation services for commercial and residential buildings. Projects range in cost size from a few thousand dollars to more than half a million dollars. The 20-30 workers have installed bathrooms, totally rejuvenated homes and brought commercial buildings into the 21st century.

 

ICR is an important social enterprise, breaking ground in providing new options for the economic development of individuals and neighbourhoods in Winnipeg. The company was set up in 2002 to provide employment for workers who were excluded from the mainstream economy, to renovate inner city housing and to stimulate community development.

            Accountabilities:

A. Direct and coordinate activities to support the ICR Board of Directors (5%)
B. Plan direct and coordinate ICR  business/strategic plans (10%)
C. Plan, direct and coordinate the marketing and sales activities of ICR (40%)
D. Plan and direct the client projects of ICR (20%)

E. Plan and direct the Human Resources / Administrative support to ICR (10%)
F. Plan and direct the financial support for ICR (10%)
G. Other duties as assigned (5%)
