MGR is seeking to fill the position of General Repair program coordinator. This is a full time, permanent position responsible for managing upwards of ten (10) individuals.
Manitoba Green Retrofit (MGR) is a non-profit social enterprise that offers energy efficiency retrofits, residential renovations, and a service for vulnerable persons who cannot prepare their home for bed bug treatments. Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience in carpentry/as a maintenance person
- Experience supervising staff, including performance management and assignment of tasks
- Experience in estimating, planning, and coordinating the delivery of maintenance work
- Ability to perform minor building maintenance repairs
- Ability to inspect and ensure maintenance work is completed according to contract terms
- Effective problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to use computers/tablets
- Ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines
- Able to work some evening and weekends
- Valid class 5 (F) driver’s license and vehicle
- Experience with computers/Microsoft office
Desired
- Knowledge of procurement processes
Under the direction of the General Manager, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating the day to day General Repair program including: timely responses to work orders, procuring materials, troubleshooting problems as they arise, liaising with other organizations, providing technical advice and supervision of field staff, conducting progress inspections, and other duties as assigned.
