Location: CEDEC office in Grosse-Ile, Magdalen Islands
Terms of employment: Temporary Full-time (35 hours per week) for 15 weeks
Salary: $15/hour
Description
Work with the Management Committee, partners and citizens to advance projects identified in local tourism development plans
- Coordinate the organization of relevant partner meetings
- Develop projects with partners to implement services and products to increase the tourism offering within the community for the 2014 season
- Continue to work in collaboration with partners to develop local tourism sites and infrastructure as planned in the Grosse Ile Tourism Development Plan (Phase 2)
- Carry out an evaluation of the sites and services developed in 2013 in order to build and/or improve upon sites and services for the 2014 season
- Assist in identifying potential funding sources for future project phases
- Reporting and evaluation
- Other tasks as determined by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- 1 or more years of experience in a related field
- Possesses excellent written and verbal skills in English and French
- Strong computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of local community
- Will work in a flexible structure
