  • Create and manage sexual health and harm reduction resources

The job is part time, 46.5 hours per two-week period (including holiday pay hours). The regular work days for this position may vary depending on operational needs.

The position is classified as classification 56, on the CUPE Local 2348 salary scale. A comprehensive benefit package is provided as per employee eligibility via HEB Manitoba.

This position is funded for 1,209 hours annually, including holiday pay hours.

Key Responsibilities

Health Promotion, Education & Information

  • Support on-site and external community workshops and groups aimed at increasing knowledge, awareness and risk reduction among members of target populations and on topics related to HIV/STBBI transmission
  • Support the community provider capacity building training, in collaboration with a prevention team, to encourage expanded or improved access to prevention and harm reduction programming.
  • Respond to phone and/or web-based sexual health, ST/BBI information questions and concerns;
  • Support public engagement and communications, in including the use of social media platforms;
  • Distribute harm reduction materials and provides risk reduction education to clients as requested.
  • Collaborate with Program staff to support Nine Circles events including but not limited to World AIDS Day, Sexual Health Awareness Week, Pride;
